The Postelles

The Postelles are an American indie rock band from New York City. They consist of Daniel Balk (singer), David Dargahi (lead guitar), John Speyer (bass), and Billy Cadden (drums). They formed at Columbia Grammar & Prep School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The band released their debut album, The Postelles, on June 7, 2011.[1] It was produced by Albert Hammond Jr. from The Strokes.[2] The album was recorded at Quad Studios and Looking Glass Studios both in New York City [3] and Mixed by John O'Mahony in Electric Lady Studios. The band has played at Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and Iceland Airwaves.[4] They have toured with Kings of Leon, The Kooks, Vampire Weekend, Interpol and The Kills.[5]

They are currently recording their second album as announced on their performance on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic.[6]
